Doner-Chi (Spadina/Bloor)

I recently tried the Toronto Doner-Chi restaurant at Spadina/Bloor and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. The doner kebab was flavorful and the meat was tender, while the chi fries were a unique and delicious twist on traditional poutine. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The only downside was the limited seating options, as it can get quite crowded during peak hours. Overall, I would give this restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 points. Score: 4.

I ordered a Greek salad that was supposed to have tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, feta, black olives, and olive oil.
That is not what I got.
I got half a container filled with mainly lettuce and some sort of white sauce squirted all over it. This is this is an embarrassment for a Greek salad.
Extremely overpriced and I will not be returning.

Most importantly the food was delicious! I was extra pleased with the person assisting me as they helped me confirm the food met my dietary restrictions. They where very helpful in answering my questions. I will be going back for some more delicious shawarma soon.

Another review: Friday, 4th Nov 2022. They are considerably lowering their quality and much lower quantity of food. I ordered large chicken and fries and the guy used a large container and quantity was of the regular fries and chicken as you can see in the photo. I go there every other week but they are charging more and more and decreasing the amount. Very disappointed. Avoid this location. Atleast I am now in the future. Attached is the pic. 0 stars.

Went there for the very first time what used to be Original Shawarma and before that Pita Q. The customer service by the guy was good. Chicken wrap had taste. Beef shawarma plate was just ok as beef was dry. Quantity of rice was less. A little expensive. Overall an OK experience. 3 stars.

Price is very fair: $8.99 for a huge chicken pita with lots of ingredients! Definitely a great choice if you are a UofT student who’s looking for lunch snacks closed to RB!

Service is great, and the staff was wearing plastic gloves so the place is hygienic.

Pretty sure this is the best Shawarma place I know in Toronto so far.

Bold enough to have a Spadina address while facing Bloor Street and nestled in a neighbourhood with numerous shawarma/doner options, this unassuming restaurant is definitively the best option, perhaps in the entire city. Fresh falafel made to order, thinly sliced beef, de-stemmed chili peppers, and a perfectly organized display of toppings, with not one ingredient out of place or commingling with others all combine to create an ethereal doner experience. The person who helped me was also the authority on doner vs shawarma and able to articulate the differences.
